Reiki

Reiki is a gentle yet powerful hands-on healing technique that brings about a sense of profound peace and deep relaxation. It can speed healing rates and provide strong pain relief. Just as importantly, Reiki can be used on a daily basis to boost the immune system, keep chronic imbalances under control, to untie emotional knots and turmoil, to heighten one's creativity and unlock one’s innate intuitive abilities. Reiki can be as dramatic as a miracle or as basic as daily meat and potatoes, (or, for others, rice and vegetables)! It wonderfully restores and and enhances our balance on the physical, emotional/mental and spiritual levels.

The word reiki is composed of two Japanese characters: rei and ki. Rei can be translated as "universal." Ki means "life-energy," that basic life-force that animates all living beings and which is known in various traditions as chi, prana, or grace. The two symbols together indicate the coming together of divine creative energy and the human energy system -- or the unification of spirit and body.
