Reiki
The word reiki is composed of two Japanese characters: rei and ki. Rei can be translated as "universal." Ki means "life-energy," that basic life-force that animates all living beings and which is known in various traditions as chi, prana, or grace. The two symbols together indicate the coming together of divine creative energy and the human energy system -- or the unification of spirit and body.
